Cueva de Coloms

Mallorca has many caves and some superb technical cave diving. This cave has easy access from the sea via a shallow sump (2m long, 1m depth) and is quite spectacular inside. It has a little bit of everything: some beautiful geological structures; a deep (but cold) pool that allows a swim along part of the route; a few tight spots; some bouldering and huge, open galleries. It makes for a superb day trip and it is close to one of our favourite free-diving spots (Cala Varques). The photographs do not really do it justice (I am a poor photographer) but they give some idea of the size and beauty of this place.
